Three generations of electroplating
Elektrolyse AG was founded on April 12, 1965, with its headquarters in Lucerne. Since then, we have become specialists in the electroplating of metal surfaces. Over the years, our customer base and their demands have steadily grown, resulting in a broad and sophisticated range of products.
Due to space constraints, our company headquarters was relocated to Root in 1974. A new production facility was built in 1978, followed by another for pipe electroplating which was built in 1996. A manual electroplating facility was then set up in Root in 2001.
In February 2008, our company headquarters were once again relocated due to lack of space, and our workforce was able to move into new, modern premises in Sins. Elektrolyse AG currently employs 40 people, and we now have a third generation lined up to take over the reins. So our younger generation are busy preparing themselves to continue to serve our customers and business partners as knowledgeable, competent contacts for the future.

As an internationally competitive company with a long tradition, Elektrolyse AG attaches great importance to future-oriented, sustainable development.
Thanks to a smart energy policy, we've been able to achieve significant savings in recent years by switching to a new electricity supplier – while maintaining the same level of security of supply. But we're planning further development: The expansion of our photovoltaic system is expected to cover up to 50% of our future energy needs. This investment is part of our long-term strategy: operating economically, considering environmental issues, and providing a stable foundation for future generations.
